About this worksheet
Eight short autumn sentences about leaves, pumpkins, apples and a red barn, and the child draws a box around every noun. A squirrel on a pumpkin and a basket of apples sit by the title, with acorn bunting across the top.
Most sentences have more than one noun, so a child cannot stop at the first one they find. Names count too: Max, Dad, Grandma and Ann are all nouns, which is a useful thing for first graders to notice. It is all line art, so the fall pictures can be colored in afterward.
