About this worksheet
Six short sentences, each with a picture: a cat napping on a cushion, Jack on his bike, Nina and a friend playing tag, Mom with a cake, bees over the flowers and a ball rolling away. The child reads each one and colors in the circle for the pronoun that could replace the underlined words.
This is the first step from single words into whole sentences. The underlining shows exactly which words a pronoun replaces, and the pictures are there to back up a child’s reading.
What students will practice
- Replace underlined words with a pronoun
- Choose he, she, it, we or they in a sentence
- Use a picture clue
