About this worksheet
A class visits the zoo and sees tall giraffes eating leaves, two big bears (one of them asleep), and monkeys swinging and playing, then eats lunch on a bench. Six sentences follow, and the child circles yes or no for each.
Three are true and three are false, so circling the same word all the way down does not work. The one to watch is statement four, “Both bears were asleep.” The story says one bear was asleep, and a child who reads the sentence quickly will circle yes. It is a low-stakes way to show why careful reading matters. Prints in black and white.
