About this worksheet
A tiny cloud, no bigger than a pillow, floats through Nina’s bedroom window and rains on her homework. She yells at it, it shrinks and looks gloomy, and she feels bad and carries it out to her mom’s dry tomato plants, where it turns out to be very useful.
The first two questions are details anyone can find. Question three asks what gloomy means, and question four asks why Nina carried the cloud outside, which needs a child to connect feeling bad for yelling with the dry plants. The last question is a what would you do, so there is no wrong answer as long as there is a reason.
