Ten sentences, one adverb in each, and a second column asking for the verb that adverb is describing. A turtle crawls slowly across warm sand, Nia knocks politely on the classroom door, the class visited the museum yesterday, Leo finishes his homework early.
That second column is what lifts this above a plain underlining drill. A child who underlines an adjective by mistake has nothing sensible to write beside it, so the error surfaces while they are still on the page instead of when it comes back marked. A bonus line at the foot asks which two adverbs tell when, and there are exactly two.
