About this worksheet
Five picture rows inside a riveted-plate border: a ladybug against fish, hand and rug; a snail against nail, crab and feather; a dog against cow, duck and frog; a king against crown, ring and flower; and a bell against shell, banana and kite.
Agree on names first. The opening row is drawn as a ladybug but the rhyme wants “bug,” and the fourth row rewards “ring” over the crown that sits right next to it. Both are worth a quick out-loud pass together, then the child can finish the page alone.
