About this worksheet
A rocket leaves a dotted trail that loops through eight numbered planets, each holding a drawn pair and a YES and NO bubble to color: van and pan, mouse and train, snake and rake, bat and mat, cow and book, ball and shoe, chick and brick, fork and bed.
A strip at the bottom asks “How many pairs rhyme?” and the answer is four. That last box is the part worth keeping, because it turns eight separate guesses into one page a child can check themselves: if their total is not four, one of the planets is wrong and they get to go find it.
What students will practice
Decide whether two words rhyme, then color the answer
