About this worksheet
Four colorful scenes, each with three feeling faces to choose from: it is my birthday, my ice cream fell, someone took my truck, and thunder is loud. The child looks at the picture and circles the face that shows how they would feel.
The question is how would I feel, not how does this child feel, and that small change invites a preschooler to imagine themselves in the moment. The choices are clear enough to get right without reading, since each face has its word underneath and the pictures carry the story. The truck row brings in mad and the thunder row brings in scared, so the page reaches past happy and sad.
Bright and friendly, it is printed in full color and is a good conversation starter at circle time.
