Five boxes of coins sit on the left and five bake sale treats on the right, each with a price tag: a cookie, a cupcake, a donut, a muffin and a brownie. The child counts each set and draws a line to the treat it buys for the exact price. Totals run from 16¢ to 50¢, and every set uses a different mix, from a quarter with two pennies to four coins with no quarter at all.
Because every answer is already printed on a price tag, the page checks itself. A total that does not match any tag means a coin was miscounted, and the child can go back and find it without anyone pointing it out. Sorting the coins from biggest to smallest before adding is the habit to encourage here.
