About this worksheet

Four short problems put a shape and a number of friends together: two friends share a sandwich, three share a pizza, four share a cracker, two share a granola bar. The child draws the cuts, colors one share, and finishes the sentence “One friend gets ____” using the word bank at the bottom. Two of the four answer one half, which is a fair reflection of how often halves come up in real sharing.

Food is where most children meet fractions before school ever mentions them, so this page connects the arithmetic to something already understood. If the answer comes instantly, ask the harder follow-up: how much would one friend get if a third friend showed up?
