About this worksheet
Two treasure chests, one for less than 50¢ and one for more than 50¢, each with four empty spaces. Eight coin cards along the bottom get cut out, counted and glued into the right chest, with a parrot keeping watch over the treasure.
The split is four and four, so a chest that fills up early tells a child something needs another look. Card A is the one to watch: two quarters and a penny is 51¢, just over the line. Cutting out all eight cards before any glue comes out makes it easy to change your mind.
