About this worksheet
Six rows, each starting with a shape word: square, circle, triangle, rectangle, hexagon and star. The child reads the word and colors the one matching shape among four.
The look-alikes are chosen to make a child stop and think. The square row has a tall thin rectangle in it, and the triangle in the triangle row is upside down, which is a good test of whether a child knows a triangle by its three sides rather than by which way it points. It also gives early readers practice with six shape words.
