About this worksheet
Six big dashed shapes to trace, each labeled underneath: circle, square, hexagon, triangle, heart and rectangle. A dot marks where to start, and once a shape is traced the child colors it in. Two little rainbows decorate the title.
Tracing works on pencil control at the same time as shape names, and the starting dots help a child go around each shape in one smooth line. Count the sides out loud while tracing (four for the square, three for the triangle, six for the hexagon) to turn it into a quick lesson on what makes each shape what it is.
