About this worksheet
Six short sentences that each begin with a pronoun, like “She has a red hat” and “They are in the box,” with three pictures beside each one. The child reads the sentence and circles the picture it describes.
The wrong pictures are close on purpose: a boy in the same red hat, two kittens sitting next to the box rather than in it, a man standing beside his bike. To get it right, a child has to read both the pronoun and the rest of the sentence.
It runs the topic backwards. Most pronoun sheets start with a noun and ask for the pronoun, and this one starts with the pronoun and asks who it means, which is the skill reading actually needs.
