About this worksheet
Nine animal pictures, each with a short sentence underneath: a puppy wagging its tail, a cheetah racing across the grass, a pig standing in a puddle, a bear yawning in its cave. A word box holds nine adjectives, and the child picks the one that fits each picture and writes it in the blank.
The pictures carry most of the meaning here, which makes this the gentlest sheet in the set and a good one to start on. The puddle under the pig points to muddy, the zzz above the bear points to sleepy. Then the sentence has to be read as well, because tall, huge and tiny could all describe more than one animal until the words around the blank settle it.
It is printed in full color, so it works best on a color printer or on a screen.
