A twelve by twelve grid on a warm cream page, with ten sea animals illustrated in flat retro color above and below it. Octopus, shrimp, orca, marlin, seal, anemone, sponge, urchin, penguin and tuna.
The word list is the interesting part. Marlin, anemone and sponge are not the usual suspects, and a child who has done a few ocean word searches will still meet something new here. The illustrations carry the explaining, since a sponge drawn as a yellow tube is more use than a definition.
Words run across and down only. ANEMONE and OCTOPUS are the two that take longest, partly because both start with a letter that turns up all over the grid.
The retro palette is the reason to pick this one over the black and white version. It is the sheet that looks good on a wall when it is finished, though it does cost more ink than the plain one.
